The school
The fleet and simulators
Eighteen aircraft and two FNPT II simulators, chosen to cover the whole progression: from the basic trainer to the IFR twin, up to the aerobatic aircraft used for Advanced UPRT.
The fleet, owned outright, has been renewed in stages since 2015. Every aircraft is equipped for instruction and maintained by Part-CAMO and Part-145 approved organisations.
Sonaca 200
The initial trainer: a recently designed Belgian two-seater, robust and consistent — six identical aircraft, so students find the same aeroplane on every flight.
Diamond DA40
The single for navigation, night flying and hour building: stable, economical, equipped for radio navigation.
Diamond DA40 G1000
The transition to the glass cockpit: CPL instruction and preparation for the avionics generation in airline service.
Diamond DA42
The twin for the MEP, IR-ME and CPL courses: GFC700 autopilot, de-icing, certified for PBN approaches.
Extra 330LX
The Advanced UPRT and aerobatics aircraft, certified from -10 to +10 g.
Simulators
Two Alsim AL42s qualified FNPT II (BE-FNPT 036 and 037), configured as Diamond DA42s. Certified for PBN approaches since December 2016 — we were the first in Belgium. Forty of the fifty-five hours of the multi-engine instrument rating can be flown on them, and five of the forty-five hours of the PPL.
Both simulators are named on the course approval certificate for the PPL, single- and multi-engine IR, CB-IR, BIR and IRI courses.
Maintenance
Maintenance is entrusted to Part-CAMO and Part-145 approved organisations. Defects observed in flight are entered in our management system on return and tracked to closure.
