Training
Advanced UPRT
Upset prevention and recovery, taught on an aircraft designed to reach those attitudes safely. The certificate is required before any first type rating on a multi-pilot aeroplane.
The Advanced UPRT course comprises five hours of theory on our platform and five dual sessions on the Extra 330LX, with a minimum of three flight hours. It concludes with a course completion certificate, without an examiner test.
Why this course
Loss of control in flight remains the leading cause of fatal accidents in commercial aviation. Advanced UPRT answers it by exposing the student, safely, to what no simulator reproduces faithfully: g-loads, disorientation and stress management in extreme attitudes.
The course builds an aerodynamic understanding of stall and departure situations, then recovery techniques from unusual attitudes, in pitch as in roll.
On the Extra 330LX
Our Extra 330LX is a two-seat aerobatic aircraft certified from -10 g to +10 g, dedicated to UPRT and aerobatics. Sessions are flown with aerobatic-qualified instructors, with briefing and video debriefing.
